Some days ago I finished reading A Dirty Job, by Christopher Moore. Although I was not entirely convinced about the ending, it's a quite entertaining book, reminding me of Douglas Adams (one of my favourite writers) or Terry Pratchett.

On the third chapter, a manual called The Great Big Book of Death appears. This is how I imagined it.

Hace unos días acabé de leer "A Dirty Job", de Christopher Moore. Aunque el final no me acabó de convencer, es un libro bastante entretenido, en la línea de Douglas Adams (uno de mis escritores favoritos) o Terry Pratchett.

En el tercer capítulo aparece un manual llamado "The Great Big Book of Death". Y yo lo he interpretado así.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

"The cover was shiny, like a children's picture book, with a colorful illustration of a grinning skeleton with tiny people impaled on his fingertips, and all of them appeared to be having the time of their lives, as if they were enjoying a carnival ride that just happened to involve having a gaping hole being punched through the chest. It was festive -lots of flowers and candy in primary colors, done in the style of Mexican folk art. The Great Big Book of Death, was the title, spelled out across the top of the cover in cheerful, human femur font letters."

I agree. It's not the way you'd think the The Great Big Book of Death cover would look like.

I absolutely love Christopher Moore, and I absolutely love your interpretation of The Great Big Book Of Death. You really did a Great Job.

I'm waking up at the start of the end of the world, but its feeling just like every other morning before.

"Dirty Job" is fantastic, i recently read it myself. And Terry prachett is one of my faves as well, particularly "Good Omens" with Neil Gaiman. :] If this showed up on my doorstep im not sure i would know what to do at all!

I started reading Pratchett sometime ago, but it ended up feeling a little repetitive. I'm more of a Douglas Adams fan. And Neil Gaiman is a really talented writer. I love "Neverwhere".

Thanks, ClickClickPop!

It was fun doing this drawing, trying to translate the book description into images.

Thanks, Mikomi-Hatake!
