Daily DeviationWhere the Wild Things Are by ~edgar1975. From the suggester: "I just love his whimsical, retro style, and I especially enjoyed his interpretations of classic fairy tales, as well as his fan art for Harry Potter and Where the Wild things are. His art is very fun and unique, with silly expressions and bright colors. I'm horrified that he has less than 3,000 pageviews as he is extremely talented." Awesome, love your take on this great book, the character designs are fantastic, you stayed true to the book but made them totally your own and the background works suprisingly well here, i would have never thought to combine the vector and paper cut out mediums, though i fear change so i probably neverwould have tried lol. Great work ! :D

Thanks Rebel-penguin! I enjoy mixing styles and media, it enriches the drawing.

There are three kinds of people: those who can count and those who can't.
Thanks Homesickpipe! I discovered this book just a few years ago, but I didn't buy until last December. I used to find reading really boring when I was little and, of course, I didn't know all these wonderful children's stories in English literature (both British and American) such as Sendak's, Dahl's or Carroll's works. I started reading them about 10 years ago. And they are wonderful (and truly inspiring) books!

I love your take on Sendak's story... Full of your own unique style yet faithful to the original... great!

ah yes, the illustrations are wonderful in books like this, inspiring, you did it great justice.
Thanks, Squiglemonster! Well, since I took the characters from an illustrated book, the least I could do was to adapt them to my own style. Otherwise it would have been just a copy.

Great name, by the way!
